Borkshire Litepaper
The $BORK token
$BORK is the game's operating currency. It starts firms, powers Vault trading, and lets players build Conviction through staking.
Three ways to use $BORK
- Start your firm. Pay the activation charge once during your ownership of a Bork to enter the weekly game.
- Trade with the Vault. Buy Borks with $BORK or receive $BORK when you sell one. The Vault's backing and its book-value quotes are denominated in the token.
- Build Conviction. Stake $BORK alongside locked Borks for a Barkpower modifier that increases your firm's weight in ETH reward allocation. Your stake returns after the lock and withdrawal waiting periods.
Where spent tokens go
Activation payments and the Vault's $BORK trading fees follow the same split: 70% is burned and 30% goes to the treasury. The principal and premium paid to buy a Bork from the Vault go into its backing; Conviction stakes stay held for withdrawal. The ETH reward pool is funded separately through collected ETH fees.
Ranked seasons & $BORK prizes
We're adding ranked seasons with an Elo rating system and a leaderboard to climb. At the end of each season, the top-ranked players receive $BORK prizes from the season's banked prize pool.
That pool builds from part of the treasury's 30% share of activation payments and $BORK Vault trading fees. As players start firms and trade through the Vault, a portion of those treasury receipts is banked for seasonal payouts. The 70% burn allocation stays in place.
Seasonal $BORK prizes sit alongside the game's daily ETH rewards, which continue to follow your firm's Barkpower.
Mint with ETH, play with $BORK
Minting a Bork is paid in ETH. $BORK comes into play afterwards, when you activate your firm, trade through the Vault, or stake for Conviction.
